At Stafflink, as an IT recruiting company, we’ve been fortunate to work with many startups from Toronto. As part of a new blog series, every Wednesday I will be highlighting a Toronto startup to keep your eye on.
LooseButton.com
I had the opportunity to meet Aditya Shah at the Impact Gala last month. In a room full of young entrepreneurs, Shah’s company LooseButton.com and their Luxe Box subscription service stood out as one of the companies to watch in 2012.
What Is Luxe Box?
Luxe Box is a monthly subscription service that delivers 4-5 deluxe-sized, hand-picked beauty samples to your doorstep in a chic box. Included along with the samples of skincare, makeup, fragrance, body and haircare products is a personalized letter detailing each of the products included.
Based out of Toronto and currently only available in Canada, Luxe Box is aiming to expand into other countries shortly. They also plan to expand their vertical to include luxury food, bath products, clothing, and more.
Founded in 2010, LooseButton.com presently has a small but driven group of talented staff. For a relatively new company, the service has nearly 8,000 likes on Facebook, and over 3,000 followers on Twitter. If their social media following is any indication, it appears they have a very in-demand service on their hands. As they enter other verticals, secure more financing, and hire additional staff, my prediction is LooseButton will become a leader of luxury subscription services in Canada if not all of North America. If they keep their game up, this young Canadian company will likely have no problems finding investors over the next year.
